Minister for Irrigation T. Harish Rao on Monday said his constituency of Siddipet would be made the Medak district headquarters soon.
He also promised to provide all required facilities for the town in the near future.
The Minister was at Siddipet on Monday, when he examined ongoing development works at Komati Cheruvu, one of the largest such tanks in the district. The tank works were taken up at an estimated cost of Rs.8.6 crore.
The New Districts In TelanganaState:
1) Medak District will be the headquarters and
2) Sangareddi District
3) Siddipet District
A tourist attraction
“The government is committed to development. We are creating all facilities at Siddipet so that when it is declared district headquarters, there will be no need to face any problems. The tank works would be completed without any delay,” he said, adding that the tank would become a tourist attraction.
