Chief Minister Sri. K. Chandrashekar Rao handed over letter sanctioning Rs. 35.5 Lakhs to Smt. Syeda Salva Fatima, towards financial support to undergo Multiengine Rating and Type Rating Training Course for pilots, in the Camp office this afternoon.
Smt. Fatima, a graduate from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University is the first Muslim girl from old City to pursue the course. This financial assistance would help Smt. Fatima to become a full fledged commercial pilot after completion of training.
Smt. Fatima thanked the Chief Minister for the help.
Sri. Farooq Hussain, MLC and Sri. Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLA earlier have requested the Government to consider Smt. Fatima’s request favourably. The Government and the Chief Minister responded positively. The sanction letter is based on verification of details of applicant by the Director, Minorities Welfare. The Director in his report mentioned that the applicant’s father is working in a bakery and eking out his livelihood and the applicant’s husband is working in a private company and as such the income of the family is very low and cannot afford the huge fees and requested the Government for financial support.
The above financial assistance of Rs.35.5 Lakhs will be released to Telangana State Aviation Academy upon the applicant taking admission in the Academy.
Sri. Farooq Hussain, MLC, Sri. Syed Omer Jaleel, Secretary, Minority Welfare and Sri. Bhoopal Reddy, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister are present on the occasion.
