The Central government has directed officials to implement the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems in the State soon. As a part of this project, the State government will be uploading details of their current criminal cases online.
Officials said, this system is aimed at creating a common countrywide network to make tracking criminals easier for purpose of investigation. Prevention of crime and law enforcement across the country along with assistance in missing cases, identifying dead bodies, emergency responses during accidents, traffic management, and identification of killers, extremists groups and Maoists will be made faster and easier with this system.
Through the system, a comprehensive and integrated system will be built for enhancing the efficiency of policing. All district police stations and district and State police headquarters will be connected through this specialised software.
District SP T Prabhakar Rao told Express that work for this project has begun and the 74 police stations and five DSP offices in Nalgonda have began uploading information about their cases onto the concerned website.
