• Telangana art for Camp Office

           TRS MP and founder of Telangana Jagruti, which is known for its Telangana cultural activities, K. Kavitha, confirmed, “Although we are not turning the Camp Office into a museum, Telangana art will go on display prominently. “All of the art will be from the Telangana region,” she adds. Kavitha, however, couldn’t confirm when the art makeover would take place.

           With the disputes between Telangana and AP governments increasing by the day, the Union home ministry has convened a meeting with the chief secretaries of both the states on July 17 in New Delhi to resolve them.Several contentious issues like giving powers to the Governor on law and order in the common capital area, nativity norms, fee reimbursement, Polavaram etc, will be discussed in the meeting.Telangana chief secretary Rajiv Sharma and his AP counterpart I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, will take part in the meeting.

           The high-level meeting in New Delhi of chief secretaries and other senior officials of the Energy department from Telangana and AP concluded with consensus on only a single issue: Power sharing from Central Generating Station (CGS).As against the allocations spelt out in the AP Reorganisation Act, Andhra Pradesh will get an additional 1.77 million units (65 MW), going by the consumption pattern of the last five years.

           The state officials informed that only 4,400 Mw of power was available as against a total demand for over 7000 Mw.Telangana government has set a target of making available a total of 20,000 Mw of power for meeting the demand in the next three years.
