• Sania daughter-in-law of Pak, can't be Telangana ambassador: BJP

         Sania was born in Maharashtra and settled in Hyderabad only later and, hence, is a "non-local", he told reporters here and sought to dub her as "daughter-in-law" of Pakistan, pointing out that she was married to that country's cricketer Shoaib Malik.

• Telangana urges media not to use 'T' for state

         The Telangana government has urged the media not to use 'T' as an abbreviation for the state and advised it to use either the complete word or TS.In a letter to editors of all TV channels and newspapers, Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma requested them not to use 'T'.

• 25 villages cut off due to rains in Telangana

         Road connectivity to around 20 villages in Wajedu mandal remained snapped for the second consecutive day on Wednesday due to the submergence of a low-level causeway by a swollen forest stream near Cheekupalli in Bhadrachalam division.Sources said that the water level in the river crossed 26 feet, around 17 feet below the first warning level of 43 feet, in the afternoon.

• TS, Maharashtra take up Pranahita issue

         Both States decide to finalise alignment of barrage. The Maharashtra government has agreed to convene the meeting of the standing committee for implementation of the project, comprising officers of both States, a release here on behalf of Mr. Harish Rao said.
