• Now, barricades divide Andhra and Telangana

          Police have put up barricades between the administrative blocks being allotted to the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments at the secretariat here in a bid to restrict unauthorised movement of people. 

• Telangana government plans new IT clusters around Outer Ring Road

         With Hyderabad city saturated for IT growth and other industries, the government is seriously considering new sites along the 139 km ORR to promote IT, BT and other sectors.

• Telangana plans new irrigation projects

          To bring more lands in Telangana under irrigation, the TRS government decided to prioritise the projects for early completion and pumping more funds to some projects. This was stated by Telangana state irrigation minister T. Harish Rao told in an interview on Saturday.

• Common High Court for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana?

           In my (Tamada Gopalakrishna) opinion, the existing judges of the Hyderabad High Court have a definite jurisdiction over the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states since it has been notified as the common High Court for both the states on June 2.

• Split helps Telangana to drop Andhra Pradesh ration cards

          “We are going to provide new ration cards across the state as we have to change the name. We have also decided to provide a high security smart card to all eligible families which will eliminate all ineligible cards and its holders will lose  the benefits,” Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao told this correspondent on Saturday.

• Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to move into camp office today

          Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will finally move into the sprawling CM’s Camp Office in Begumpet on Sunday. He will step into the camp office at 10.48 am and perform ‘sudharshana yagnam’ to seek the Lord’s blessings in the presence of only his family members and his closest aides.

         Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who held a meeting with police officials at the Secretariat on Saturday, has also launched several new initiatives to modernise the police force, and to accord a 'international brand image' to the Telangana police along the lines of New York and London police.
