           Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday said his government’s goal was to make the ‘Made in Telangana’ label a globally recognised brand for quality and innovation.

           Raising hopes of the Telangana government to earn higher revenue from liquor, the excise department allocated nearly all shops in the state through draw of lots on Monday.

           Ramanna said that if Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh agreed to his proposal to build a memorial at the incident site, then the Telangana government would provide the financial help. He added that the Telangana government was providing `11.5 lakh ex-gratia, including the `1.5 lakh announced earlier by the Himachal government, to each family of the 25 victims.

          “Many IT employees still depend on cabs as public transport is woefully short. About 40,000 passengers travel either by autorickshaws or cabs in the IT corridor, and around 10,000 autorickshaws and cabs operate in the area. But the problem is the lack of buses and dependence on car pools. If a person misses his transport, only God can save him from private operators,” TITA president Sundeep Kumar Makthala said.
