Government Job Aspirants in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Waiting for Recruitment of 60,661 Posts for which GOs are Issued
Bifurcation process of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states is complete and lakhs of unemployed youth are eagerly waiting for government jobs in both the states. TRS president and present chief minister of Telangana and also the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh promised employment opportunities to youth at the time of elections.
Vijayawada: The demand for filling vacancies in both the states is increasing. Financial department revealed the number of approved posts and vacant posts in all the government departments. According to them 12,46,600 posts were approved by government in undivided Andhra Pradesh state and only 9.92 lakh employees were working by March, 2014. 2.54 lakh posts are vacant.
There are eighteen thousand vacancies in state level cadre. Kamalanathan Committee will distribute the vacant posts based on population in both the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Meanwhile GOs were issued for filling of 60,661 posts in combined state but due to bifurcation, the recruitment process was stalled. These GOs were issued for filling of posts in state level, district level and zonal levels.
Unemployed youth are demanding filling of vacant posts for which GOs were already issued. Since the recruitment is stopped since a long time, they are also demanding increasing age limit of the applicants.
Andhra Pradesh public service commission will recruit the posts of Andhra Pradesh government only. Union Public Service commission will take the responsibility of recruitments in Telangana state till the setting up to Telangana Public Service Commission.
According to information there are 65,000 state level posts in combined state, 6,600 multi zonal posts, 1,43,000 zonal posts, 10,32,000 district cadre posts. Over all there are 2.54.600 vacant posts. GO number 132 was issued on 3rd June, 2013 for 11,250 public service commission posts, 11,624 police recruitments and 10,685 posts in other government departments.
G.O number 183 was issued on July 2, 2013 for filling of 1.127 public service commission posts, 20,508 posts in education departments and 2,443 posts in other departments. GO number 262 was issued on 30th September, 2013 for filling up of 287 public service commission posts, 1,462 posts in various departments and 1,276 district selection committees. GOs were issued for a total number of 60,661 vacant posts.
